Parts were selected and mocked up in Solidworks.

Front View

Front view of the finished product.

Interface

The user interacts with the whiteboard through a system of buttons, a potentiometer, and LCD display.

Display

The display shows different options for cleaning.

Top View

A threaded rod is used as a cheap lead screw to move the eraser along the board.

Pump

Fluid level was measured using a laser and photoresistor, and a pump was used to deep clean the board with fluid.

Electronics

A system of transistors and voltage regulators was used to receive signals from the Arduino and provide power to the components .

Software

The prototype software for the Arduino microcontroller is attached.
