Functional Requirements
- Stall torque: Must apply 60ft-lb. Can apply 90ft-lb at the max input of 12A.
- Input voltage: Must run on 24V DC power. Capable of using 18-30V.
- Minimum of 4 RPM. Minimum expected speed is 6.3RPM.
- Less than 2 degrees of overtravel. Undergoing testing.
- Cost less than $400. Under budget assuming production of 50+ units.
Objectives
- Manual operation of switchgear without the use of a pin. Capable of backdriving motor, which makes use to the sprocket to actually decrease the torque in manual operation.
- Use of the original handle. The handle was replaced with a generic 1/2" square drive breaker bar that any technician should have access to.
- Size must be within 4" in each direction to fit all models. Currently within 3.5".
- Configurable to work with multiple angles of travel. The potentiometer can be adjusted to any travel angle between 4° and 296°.
